I use the "Site Meter" traffic counter to track: the number of visitors to
this site; the number of pages visited; and the site from which the visitors
came. This is for my personal use only. It helps me to better understand the
visitors' interests.

No information is obtained on this site that would be considered private
or personal
(i.e. identity, e-mail address, buying habits, etc.) and nothing is knowingly
provided to a third party.
Regarding the links from this site to other external sites (i.e.,
guestbooks, Civil War sites, commercial sites, etc.), please be aware that I
have no control over what they do with visitors' data and that they may have
more extensive tracking programs than I. Although the personal web pages that
I link to may not have privacy statements, I would expect that the commercial
sites do.
