AMELIA COURT HOUSE   April 4-5, 1865 ![]() Amelia Court House - 2007 Lee brought his troops to this location from Richmond and Petersburg, hoping to continue on to North Carolina and join up with General Joseph E. Johnston's army. JETERSVILLE   ![]() Jetersville - 2007 April 5, 1865 On April 5, on his advance toward North Carolina, Lee ran into Union forces here and changed his direction to Farmville. This running fight started north of Amelia Springs and pushed through and beyond Jetersville. |
