Maryland Confederate Marker - 2002

This monument has the same text as the Georgia Monument at Gettysburg:

"WE SLEEP HERE IN OBEDIENCE TO LAW.
WHEN DUTY CALLED, WE CAME.
WHEN COUNTRY CALLED, WE DIED." This marker indicates the position of the Baltimore Battery, of Jackson's Division, at daybreak September 17, 1862.
